The exhibition OSIRIS in the Museum Rietberg in Zurich forms the basis of the designs. Around 300 statues, cultural objects, sarcophagi and images of gods from the find of the sunken Egyptian city of Heraklion were exhibited in February 2017. Recovering, collecting, storing and preserving the Egyptian treasure from the sea was the inspiration for this sample collection. Inspired by the Egyptian ornamentation, we created patterns that could decorate surfaces, interiors, or the three-dimensional figure of a product. The design language of Egyptian ornamentation was the starting point. For the realisation of the forms we drew with charcoal, pencil and felt pen, and used watercolor, stamping and contact printing techniques. Also, we refined some surfaces with laser technology to change the feel of the different materials we were using.
